December 2nd - 12th, 2014 Patagonia - Spring Adventure Yoga Retreat

Dear ones, I want to invite you on a magical adventure yoga retreat in one of the world’s most beautiful nature displays of mountains, forests and lakes. Nestled in the Province of Rio Negro, within the grounds of the first and largest national park in Argentina, Nahuel Huapi National Park, in the Northern Patagonia Lake District.

We will be staying at a luxury eco-lodge called Peuma Hue, translated to "The Place of Dreams." As reported by the press, Peuma Hue has been chosen as one of the best 30 Eco lodges in the world!
Peuma Hue´s 500 acres of wilderness are located at the southern end of Lake Gutiérrez, only 25 minutes south from the town of San Carlos De Bariloche (Bariloche) and 45 minutes from its international airport. Bariloche is the gateway to the northern Patagonian Andes, and an internationally renowned mountain resort, famous for its skiing in winter and its unique beauty in spring, summer and fall.

At Peuma-Hue we will be staying in a Villa called the Radal Lodge, a dream place on its own. Its comfort, coziness, views and decoration have a special charm that catches your eye with each detail in every corner. We’ll be sleeping in double-occupancy Superior Rooms, which are spacious and host lake and mountain views.

We will practice yoga each day in the morning and evening,in the secluded Music Temple which displays high ceilings, a wood heated fire place and providing a true sacred ground.

We will mix our 11 days retreat between five days spent on the grounds at Peume Hue, and another six days venture out of the Estancia ( ranch ) to explore adventures, excursions, hikes and local cuisines around the area. We will provide 3 meals per day, all well balanced, healthy and delicious, and made with Peuma's home-made products and organic fruits and vegetables from their fruit orchard and vegetables. Dinners at Puema-Hue will be served with top-rated local wines and microbrew beers.

Check the FAQ page to learn more about the adventures and pricing !

Retreat FAQ

Please read all the answers thoroughly so you know what's going on!

But first, a personal note :

Argentina and Patagonia were always on my list of dream places to visit.  3 years ago, after leading my very first SOLO retreat in Peru, I decided to gift myself the adventure of exploring and snowboarding for a month in the area of  Bariloche.

I remember falling in love with it from the plane .. the vast landscapes of mountains, lakes, forests. No wonder Walt Disney was inspired by that region to create the movie "bambi."

Although I was there during winter and explored most of where we'll be visiting on the retreat I was told the beauty tripples in Spring :-)

It's with great pleasure and deep gratitude to all of you, that I can once again offer this journey of yoga and adventure. This time, the retreat will be longer and more luxurious.

Victoria Island and Arrayanes Forest Excursion

Our tour will begin at Puerto Pañuelo, on the shores of the picturesque Llao Llao Peninsula. We'll sail for 30 minutes to Puerto Anchorena, located at the middle of the Victoria Island's shoreline, Its beautiful natural scenery spreads across 3,710 hectares and encloses various attractions. In a remote past, it would be dwelled by Indian communities that left their marks in the form of cave paintings in some areas of the island. The leafy trails that cross Victoria lead the visitors to the giant sequoias, thujas, eucalyptus, pines, oaks as well as cypresses, coihues and ñires, which are the habitat for various species, such as the pudú (the smallest deer in the world), wild boar, red deer, pheasants and countless species of birds. After touring around the island, we'll sail to Puerto Quetrihue, located in the South of the peninsula to visit the Arrayanes National Park. This reserve protects a myrtle forest unique in the world, with specimens of 15 meters of height, which are between 500 and 650 years old.

Moreno as a tribute to the author of the National Anthem, Vicente López y Planes. The refuge ( shelter ), painted pink, is located at 1620 meters and can accommodate upto 100 trekers passing by, its view offer the most beautiful panoramic of Lake Nahuel Huapi and surrounding area. The duration of the upward march is about 3-4 hours.
